Victorious

In Anandpur Sahib in 1701, the second great battle took place. Guru Gobind Singh Ji, accompanied by 25 Gursikhs, including Bhai Bachittar Singh, trained vigorously, wielding their favourite weapon. Bhai Bachittar Singh was mentored by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, wielding the Barchha (spear)—a weapon which required great strength and accuracy. The Mughals released a Sharabi, mast Haathi (drunk, intoxicated Elephant), charging unaware and forming a path of destruction, stamping and crushing bones with blooded tusks. The Elephant, covered in iron plating, is heading towards Holgarh (a fort not far from Lohgarh). Guru Gobind Singh Ji watches from afar as the Gursikhs are ready for combat without hesitation. Bhai Bachittar Singh on horseback, waiting patiently like a Sheer (Lion) prepared to pounce, armed with a Nagni Barchha (Snake headed spear) blessed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. As the intoxicated Elephant draws closer, Bhai Bachittar Singh pounces, the Horse galloping at full speed. Holding the Nagni Barchha in his right hand, he launches it, cutting through the air into the forehead of the Elephant, breaking through the armoured plating.
Finally, the pain and suffering are released from the Elephant as it bows down to Bhai Bachittar Singh as a sign of defeat. All Gursikhs are born from Fateh (Sikh salutation).

The Champions of the Faith are roaring, and the vast Elephants are trumpeting. The drums are beaten, producing a drumming sound. |35|112| Guru Gobind Singh – Dasam Granth Ji
