This design is based on Rani Sada Kaur Walia of Batala

Even after losing her only Son in battle, she still kept her mentality and became a highly intelligent, strategic warrior. Rani Sada Kaur became a Mother figure to Maharaja Ranjit Singh, her Son-in-law. She guided him to become the most powerful ruler of Punjab.

This illustration evokes the spirit of Rani Sada Kaur, while making this illustration it was important to show her warrior spirit without sacrificing her femininity and gracefulness.
